La version beta de Chrome llego a ser oficial hoy alrededor de las 1pm GMT, y en consecuencia muchos scripts dejaron de funcionar (incluido el highlight). El highlight no hacia nada, y el nodefixer no estaba reemplazando la letra "Q" por defecto.

Well...got a lot of work done in the area, classing roads in Mount Vernon, and nearby towns and places, proper exit names on I-5...it really feels a shame that this is the reason for going in and doing it, but...well, hopefully it helps people around town and travelling through, alike, to get through this mess.

Por cierto utilizo el script WME Color Highlights y ya he descubierto porque desde algunas carreteras no me rutaba correctamente el waze. Son las carreteras sin terminar (dead-end) que no tienen nodo final.

He corregido todas las que he visto y tengo acceso a ellas pero hay muchas que están fuera de mis zonas de edición. También he corregido todas las carreteras que tenían sentido desconocido y terminaban en un punto (por lógica tienen que ser de dos direcciones, no tiene sentido poder llegar a una casa en un monte, pero que no puedas volver o viceversa)

Si utilizáis el script que os comento, os marca dichas carreteras con colores llamativos para que sea mas fácil de localizarlas y corregirlas.

Si en las zonas que tenéis permisos vosotros, las encontráis, ya sabéis ... agua y jabón

Puedes decir, ¿qué día sucedió esto? Acabo de revisar todo el campo militar y el usuario Quelonio modificó la mayor parte el día 15 de Mayo, aunque no estoy seguro de que hizo creo que cambió los segmentos a Private Road. Aunque este tipo no es tan definitivo como los parking lot, sí debería de ser suficiente para que no te de rutas por el campo militar.
Para confirmar te pediría tu ayuda sólo diciéndome a que hora suele haber el tráfico más pesado en Av. Conscripto para poder generar rutas al rededor a esa hora y ver que resultados obtengo.

I think that if we're going to trust someone to be an AM (with the stringent requirements we now have), they should have full access to their AM area, regardless of rank.

Keep the level based restrictions for the driven area outside of that AM area...like it used to be.

401 express and collectors

Hey all,

I've been driving into Toronto Pearson airport from Trenton many (too many) times. All is good until I get to the portion of the 401 which has collectors and express lanes. I wish to stay in the express lanes until I have to exit at highway 409/427.

The driving directions from Waze are to go into the express, then collectors, then express, then collectors, etc... practically every exchange.

Besides being annoying, when I report stopped cars or traffic, if waze wanted me in the collectors, it dragged my car symbol into the collectors even if I stayed in the express lanes, creating a reports for the wrong lane.

Anything I'm doing that would cause this? Maybe give the routing calculations more importance for the express lanes?

ainda tem o localizador de postos da esso, mas esse não consegui usar.

os dados estão compilados nessa planilha.

não consegui encontrar todos os postos ativos segundo a anp, conforme marcação na planilha (em branco). ainda não pude adicionar a bandeira de alguns deles (em amarelo). e havia outros com problemas (em vermelho). caso alguém saiba de algum que não encontrei, favor avisar.

Should be ok, problem with doing country towns here in WA is trying to get info what suburbs/towns are around the actual town. Most of the time you cannot get any.

I have been using info from the shire websites and even then, they dont have enough or up to date info. So some of the country towns are huge as thats the shire boundaries, so thats a good/bad thing.

The road names can be hit or miss as well, as they rename the roads and often they are not updated to publications, etc.

Without having to go for another 300km+ trips to check them out again, it makes it hard to edit the roads around the towns.

I have been trying to edit so you can actually use waze to get to the towns but joining the roads up to other towns from them becomes hard.

You often run into previous roads that have been maped, via the app, but are unnamed, one way and small in length just outside of your edit radius.

The two cul-de-sacs in this link, Cactus Wren Ln and Bear Tree Circle are both being displayed as Pac-Man routes on the client. I noticed this on my way home the other day, and drove down one of them to see what would happen, but I didn't notice anything happening. I just found this thread via the Wiki, and thought I would report them here.

I'll keep looking - quite a few of the roads in my 'hood are like this, and I think its because it is a private, gated community of mostly older families that there aren't many, if any, Wazers driving these cul-de-sacs to keep them as confirmed.

Você adicionou uma via chamada "Ônibus". Analisando o mapa, vi que ela não existe. Mesmo que existisse, ela não deveria ser mapeada, já que deixaria o mapa muito complexo para visualização na tela de um celular. O mapeamento deve ser feito da forma mais simples possível, desde que isso não afete o entendimento das rotas.

Na área do permalink abaixo, você nomeou algumas vias como "Rotatória". Na verdade, essa não é uma rotatória. Além disso, de acordo com o Manual de Edição, as rotatórias não devem ser nomeadas.

The graphical route never changed from a straight line on Rte 66 until I wandered away from the "reroute" and a route recalculation occurred. Not sure if/how this could be reproduced though.

A problémám, hogy a több mint 20 (már 100-nál is jóval több) erre történő elhaladás ellenére soha nem tervez nekem ezen az útvonalon a waze, sőt, állandóan elvezetne róla, a leglehetetlenebb kerülőket betervezve.
Mi lehet a gond? Megnéztem az editorban a térképet, nem találtam az okát. (persze nem is nagyon értek hozzá, nem ismerem)

I realize I posted this a while ago but these images show the problem very clearly.

This first image shows Waze offering two good routes. Notice how the shorter route goes directly up Mound Rd and then routes onto a freeway. Mound Rd is listed as a Primary Street.

In this second image, I've moved the destination just about a mile further north on the same road. This time, it refuses to route directly up Mound Rd and instead routes across on a major side street over to Van Dyke Ave (even though this route is clearly longer and the only change to the destination is adding an extra mile north).

On the reverse route, it seems to capture it properly (going from the Rochester Area to the Warren Area). For whatever reason, the routing algorithm will continue to try and push me over onto Van Dyke until I get north of Metro Parkway (the east west road that it routes me over onto) and then the client will show the route directly up Mound Rd. When it recalculates, usually the time to my destination is at least 5 minutes faster than the previous route (over onto Van Dyke).

I wonder if there isn't a change in the routing algorithm based on the length of the route (somewhere around 20-25 miles). Any ideas?

Precisamente ara un par de días solicite ser AM de la zona de Maó +/- que empece a editar el verano pasado la zona de Maó , Es castell, Sant Lluís y parte de la costa sureste, cuando me lie con esto de editar en Waze, seguro que tendré cantidad de pifias por ser al principio de ser editor, pero ya me han caducado los permisos de edición, pude editar alguna cosa ya que era el ultimo que paso por ahí, en el editor en la capa de area manager solo veo a gamelines, y si la isla esta un poco abandonada.

Estoy esperando si se me asigna la zona solicitada y poder echar una mano aunque estoy un poco liado con mi provincia.

Un RP aussi sur la D931 à l'Ouest de Bresles (en vue d'un racordement D931 - D12 Ouest de Bailleul ) Mais je n'ai pas encore la doc du tracer de ce racordement...

Quelques rues sur Beauvais aussi...

Die Funktion hab ich letztens mal getestet, der Link funktioniert immer solange, wie das aktuelle Routing aktiv ist. Wenn ich das Routing abbreche oder mir der Client aus irgendeinem Grund wegstirbt und ich neu starten muss, ist der Link nicht mehr gültig.

My phone has voice dialling via bluetooth, but it is useless. I say a name, and it picks someone at random from my address book. A car is too noisy for reliable voice recognition. Waze would need to have a much better display of where it is aiming for, otherwise you could be following directions to somewhere completely different.

I would like to state that at no time did I tell the editor to stop, but rather to improve the quality of his edits. The messages I sent him where based on what I saw using the WME colour highlights script had been edited by him.
We (top 6 Mexican editors) requested self-management since February with the purpose of improving the edits made by AMs; and have been using it for about three weeks, with this being the first problem we have had.

I have now submitted the (full) email conversation adriansinger, our community manager and wait for any actions he decides are to be made.

I think that is the responsibility of the bus company - and the vast majority of bus users won't be interested in a sat-nav app as they already know where the bus is going!

Here in London, we already have web and mobile apps that allow us to see when the next bus or train is due at any bus-stop or station. And most bus stops around the rest of the country have details of next buses available by text messaging.

I'd suggest it's best for Waze to concentrate on what it's intended to be - the best sat-nav app for commuter drivers!

I've installed waze on android. And I activate "Play sound to phone speaker" to have notification on android speaker. But when I activate this option, when I accept a call, the speaker is automatically activated for this call. This occurs also if waze is off. To avoid this issue, I need to desactivate "Play sound to phone speaker" beffore exiting waze and activate this option again when I launch waze.

Ideálne poopravovať všetky odbočky/rampy na danej križovatke, lebo mám pocit, že u každej bude hlásiť DSVL/DSVP.

btw: prečo sa na podobných križovatkách používajú rampy? Mne to príde ako nezmysel...
