I am experiencing these issues as well.

To summarize:
Speedo not visible (hidden behind report icon)
Goto car, zoom, and north buttons are tiny
Goto car icon is behind menu in landscape orientation
Menu only has 2 rows, have to scroll to see the third row
Icons, wazers, etc are tiny and almost not visible when the phone is mounted
Road names are too small too easily read

Que o Waze é bom e ajuda no trânsito todo mundo já sabe, mas o que você acha que poderia melhorar no Waze.

Na minha opinião a pesquisa de endereços deixa bastante a desejar e se é um lugar conhecido, como por exemplo Shopping ABC eu prefiro procurar pelo nome do local no Google ou FourSquare do que na pesquisa do Waze.
Outro dia fui pesquisar uma rua Terceiro Sargento João Soares de Faria, em São Paulo e a única rua que ele me mostrou foi uma com o mesmo nome em Guarulhos. Para minha infelicidade esta rua que eu queria ir fica bem próxima a Guarulhos e acabei acreditando e indo para o lugar errado.

Outro ponto é que às vezes você se esforça para reportar algo, escreve ou tira uma foto e depois recebe que o alerta não foi enviado. Sei que a grande parcela de culpa é do nosso serviço ruim de 3G, mas este alerta poderia ser encaminhado em background até um certo período de tempo.

Landmarks are funny. I updated several gas stations on the 20th, and at the same time, deleted a non-existant school landmark, and today I checked...the gas stations were updated, but the school was still there.

The only way I've seen to manipulate those at all is to delete the landmark, in the case of a gas station that has been torn down, in which case, the pin and listing disappears immediately.

Do not map and snap to the roads is my preference. I don't like how it looks in the app to have such large blocks representing a "store" where the store doesn't meet the edge of the road. Gas stations I tend to mark out to the edge of the property in aerial view, but never to any segments themselves. Others have different opinions.

I noticed this started happening for me too a few days ago. I've tried the restart, uninstall and reinstall cycle several times and still no change in behavior.

I also have an HTC One and am running Waze v3.6.0.0.

I'm not particularly excited about factory resetting my phone, so any new help on this issue would be awesome!

Victor, a última atualização foi dia 20, portanto pode ser que suas edições não foram ainda atualizadas para os mapas de navegação. Normalmente, isto ocorre de 2 a 5 dias.
Para saber quando os mapas são atualizados no INTL, que é onde estamos, clique aqui. Não confunda com atualizações no NA (EUA/Canadá).
Agora, mande o permalink do local que ponho os nomes nas ruas.

Ya que compré una nueva Tablet Android, y reinicié de fábrica la primera, he podido comprobar que al instalar "desde cero" la App de Waze, no muestra Español (Latam) dentro de los idiomas iniciales a escoger. Sólo después de seleccionar alguno de los locutores de Latam (Paulina o Javier) y reiniciar Waze, aparece la nueva versión de Español (Latam).

Right Cbenson. If you head north on 2nd to turn left on a side street into a subdivision and then a quick left on 1st, where you are navigating to, waze announces you have arrived when your on second street passing the location. IE the front yard is on 1st street and the backyard faces second street. Yes, it may be radias, but should not be announced untill GPS has you on 1st street.

Wie viel die Straße befahren ist, kann ich nicht sagen, war durch den UR drauf gestoßen und da dort kein AM eingetragen ist, wollt ich drumherum wenigstens die Hauptstraßen noch benennen. Hab dort auch nur Rechte, weil es neben der A7 liegt (Nähe Bispingen).

I'm not sure what you mean by undivided intersection. Where ever you allow the u-turn at the end of the split you are going have the same problem - the turn instruction for the u-turn will be "turn left at Chain Bridge Rd." If you don't allow the u-turn at the end of the split, then waze will need to find another way to turn you around, maybe going around the Rose Forest/Rosehaven/Jermantown block. The problem remains that waze cannot at this point give you an instruction to make a u-turn.

assim, eu pedi para os jornalistas da região divulgarem em seus blogs e jornais o waze que, em lages/sc (e muitos outros lugares), consta com mapas mais atualizados que os gps comerciais.

e o jornalista edson varela divulgou, em seu blog, no idioma próprio da região, o lageanês.

Localizados los segmentos (creo) . Espero que no te moleste, pero simplemete la guardé como CIudad Valdeluz , sin poner "Yebes", ya que lo guarda perfectamente sin dar error, por lo que se puede omitir.

Waze is currently routing me straight through the intersection in all directions both on the livemap and on my phone. I agree with Alan that this is traffic and/or historical data-related and not map-related.

If this continues to be a problem and you really want it stop, try driving the right/U/right a couple of times. Waze is likely underestimating the time to take the U. If you give the waze the correct data, it will likely to stop routing that way.

Please don't delete features just because you think they are unnecessary (unless the feature is straight from the base map import). Someone added the feature, presumably because they thought it useful. Please at least try to reach out to the the creator in an attempt to determine that the feature is truly unnecessary before deleting it. This really should be a social process.

The problem is that the deletion may leave no fingerprints, so the editor that believes the feature to be necessary may have no way to contact you to discuss whether the feature should or should not be on the map when you delete it. Thus, it is really better form to make contact before deleting. Even if the feature should clearly be deleted it is still likely best to contact the editor that added it to educate that editor, especially if the feature was recently added.

Thanks for a great script, really usefull when finding bad nodes...

Although it's starting to be a bit agressive. Don't know how about others, but I don't need tools for roundabouts so often. Having roundabout tools at the bottom of map all the time isn't neccesary and it doesn't look good (+ I have one extra link there, right before Permalink and toolbox bar is too wide). Do you plan do leave the tools at the bottom?

Just asking, already had to hide the "auto sidebar" div at the top, so I can just add the bottom box to user css too

Something updated a few days ago changed the location services... I thought that only waze had problems but my google now and google maps were not working properly on my HTC One. (it said that the location was turned off even though it was on). Also on sense, the weather app was not updating my city.

I have done a factory reset last night and everything is working well now. I think that is the quickest fix...

Ja, wou de naamgeving wat congruent maken met het wegtype...
De naamgeving toepassen zoals in de realiteit is, wat betreft prefix, is natuurlijk ook goed, maar dan misschien wel locken, om aanpassing van streettype wat te voorkomen? lvl3 lijkt me dan voldoende?!
Hoe de huidige minor is voorzien lijkt me wel de beste keuze voor wat betreft het vlotste verkeer...
De N-weg lijkt ook anders aangegeven in maps dan in viamichelin, en zelfs in maps versus streetview lijken er verschillen te zijn. Zou handig zijn als er iemand is die de situatie ter plaatse live kent?!

Distancia entre lugares

Bueno, muchas veces cuando quieres viajar, te gustaria saber cuanto tiempo toma ir de un lugar a otro.

La distancia la puedes calcular conociendo 2 coordenadas. Si andas con un Atlas, puedes saber las coordenadas de un lugar especifico (manera antigua) o bien con una brujula en tu telefono si es que no tienes internet.

Digamos que quieres calcular la distancia entre Plaza Italia (Santiago - Chile) y donde estoy ahora:

Entonces para Plaza Italia tenemos coordenadas: -33,4426, -70.6544
Y para el otro lugar tenemos: 48.8704, 2.3265

El calculo es muy sencillo. Cuando tienes ambos puntos en el mapa, puedes formar un "Triangulo Esferico" en el cual debes usar una de las formulas de Bessel (trigonometria) para determinar la proporcion final que sera actualmente la distancia entre ambas.

Trabajamos las coordenadas, sabiendo que la latitud esta indicada desde el Ecuador hacia el punto, y nosotros la queremos desde el polo norte al punto:

da=90- (-33.4426)=123.4426 grados Latitud desde plaza Italia al polo norte
db=90-48.8704=41.1296 grados latitud desde la segunda ubicacion hacia el polo norte
dP=70.6544-2.3265=68.3279 grados Diferencia de longitud entre ambas localicaciones (es decir, el segmento inferior del triangulo esferico)

Luego usamos Bessel:

cos(p)=cos(da)x(cos(db)+sen(da)xsen(db)xcos(dP)
cos(p)=-0.212
p=102.29

Ahora, el paralelo que corresponde al ecuador (circunferencia) mide 40000 kms.

Luego por regla de 3 simple, tienes que si 360=40000 kms -> 102.29= 11365.5 kms

Por lo que entre ambas coordenadas hay 11365.5 kilometros.

Entonces, como los aviones vuelan a 700-800 km/hr, te tomaria en un vuelo directo unas 14-15 horas de vuelo.

La verdad es que aun no esta muy clara la cosa. El par de veces que he pasado estaban los municipales "ordenándote" seguir una única dirección jajaja, así que no me he podido fijar bien en todas las opciones. Según se vaya asentando el trafico por la entrada se iran viendo mejor las cosas.

De momento he cambiado el giro que me has indicado permitiendolo, que viéndolo en el mapa es un giro bastante lógico y yo también creo que si no se permite ahora se permitirá en unas semanas.

Sobre la Avenida de Montevideo que mencionas la verdad es que no tengo ni idea. A ver si algún usuario que haya pasado por esa zona puede decir como ha quedado.

Having run into this problem myself before finding this thread; I initially relied on the wiki. As a result I merged the road and lost half the addresses.

I've edited the wiki before a re-write is done so someone else doesn't delete addresses like I did.
